Since the Fall of 2016, our parent company Digitera Interactive has operated the biggest and best High School Co-op program in Ontario. Most relevant to Prom Dress Tours (PDT), approx half of the 150+ students we’ve put through the program have been female. During each term, idle conversation here and there has turned to Prom Shopping, and how even a big city like our hometown of Ottawa does not have quality boutiques available. For Prom-going girls these days, the choice is either to travel to the closest truly big city or to shop online.
When, while the lovely valley teems with
Now, both of those choices leave a lot to be desired. Traveling to a big city involves time, energy and money…and Online Prom Shopping these days carries the burden of Returns, Knockoffs and Alteration expenses. We’ve done the surveys…girls these days are downright frustrated with the state of affairs when it comes to Prom Dress Shopping! Clearly, there needs to be a better solution.
Online Prom shopping isn’t 100% reliable, and most girls don’t live in areas where there are good Prom boutiques!
After more than a few round-table discussions, the only solution that everyone could agree on was to bring Prom-shopping girls direct to the best Prom-boutique areas available. Since that involves travel, we decided to create a new kind of day-trip tour company that would cater to Prom shoppers everywhere.
Prom Dress Tours
Our tours are simple; we send our buses to a local pickup point (often near the school itself if enough students from that school have purchased tickets) where we leave for the destination. Upon arrival, we give you your Prom Shopping Guidebook and then you’re free for the day to shop to your heart’s content. The Guidebook also has recommendations on places to eat and other attractions you may want to visit. At a set time, the buses leave again to return home, and your day is done.
But, that’s not quite all…
As with any well-run program, that’s not quite it though. The Guidebook isn’t just a simple directory. It contains many features that make it an essential part of the Tour Experience.
